Falling Superstars

"Falling Superstars" is an athletic and theatrical contemporary dance piece choreographed by Maxime Freixas and Francesco Colaleo, founders of the Lyon-based company Cie MF.

The work dives into themes of identity, ego, and the social masks we wear. Through dynamic partnering, intense floor work, and an ironic, lighthearted approach to human imperfection, Falling Superstars questions the relentless pressure to perform, celebrating the raw beauty found when our curated facades finally slip.

The show "Falling Superstars" reflects the struggle with one's own limits to remain relevant, visible, and deeply connected with those around us, in a society dominated by the media coverage of all aspects of life through social networks.

The audience is invited to a contemporary dance performance that, with irony and humor, assumes the freedom of not taking itself too seriously; and yet, at a certain point, something slips, gets lost, and transforms into air, light, and chaos...
